Nowy krążek artysty zatytułowany "ISAM" ukaże się 23 maja.
Będzie to kolejny rewelacyjny album brazylijczyka od czasu wydanego w 2007 roku "Foley Room".
Prace na albumem trwały dwa lata. Wiadomo, że "ISAM" ukaże się w kilku różnych wersjach począwszy od download'u, poprzez płytę CD i winylową, na obszernym boksie, zawierającym książkę o koszulkę skończywszy.

W pracach nad albumem obok Tobin'a brała udział Tessa Farmer - artystka, która razem z muzykiem przygotowała specjalną instalację w galerii Saatchi w Londynie.
Tessa odpowiada także za stronę graficzną albumu.

Album można już zamawiać na oficjalnej stronie wytwórni Ninja Tune, która wyda nowe dzieło Tobin'a.

daedelus - bespoke

Alfred Darlington aka Daedelus zapowiada nową płytę, która ukaże się nakładem wytwórni Ninja Tune. Premiera ''Bespoke'' planowana jest na 11 kwietnia, 7 lutego ukazał się pierwszy singiel promujący album. Jest nim kawałek 'Tailor made', do którego remiksy stworzyli już Floating Points oraz Tokimonsta. Na płycie nie zabraknie gości, wśród zaproszonych wykonawców znaleźli się m.in. Bilal i Baths.

29 marca swoją premierę miała ep-ka 'At the edge of the world', na której poza utworem tytułowym znajdują się jeszcze dwie kompozycje: 'Wasn’t was is wont be' oraz 'Night'.
Mini-krążek jest dostępny w formacie cyfrowym.
Nie musicie go jednak kupowac w ciemno.

Manifestations is a funky and diverse sonic collection from Mono/poly, a talented member of the Brainfeeder roster. A well-paced work, the EP's momentum grows and then contorts into other dimensions, balancing powerful rhythms and a beautiful depth for a holistically moving experience.

Manifestations has seven tracks, each with a very different tone. From the warm opening haze of the title tune to the complete crashing madness of "Punch the troll in the neck" Mono/poly has cultivated a choice sonic garden to explore. The shifty beats of "Glow" are straight off the streets of Los Angeles, while the stakeout sounds of "Toe jam" descend into the groove with fresh urgency. "Forest dark" has a bipolar personality altogether, with a funky industrial grind that flips over headfirst into the ripples of a peaceful pond.

A strong debut on the Brainfeeder label for Mono/poly, Manifestations is a release whose many waxy layers are peeled away one at a time to reveal a glowing core of true talent and innovative sound design.

"Count backwards is the story of an over-fed yet undernourished soul in search of a little peace and quiet'' explains Emika.
In times of stress, you can count your date of birth backwards or spell your birth month backwards and the logical side of the mind is kicked into action, resulting in a feeling of calm. Counting backwards is a coping mechanism in overwhelming moments of panic.

The song is inspired by my best friend from my teenage years. She was a lot older than me and was in therapy. She told me about how our brain works and how it connects thoughts, feelings and creativity. This was the first moment in my life where I became aware of my own creativity.

The single is remixed by British dubstep producers Kryptic Minds who have released several albums, their latest, Lost All Faith, on their own Defcom Records last year. Marcel Dettmann transforms the original song into a deep Techno meditation for which Emika re- sang the vocals. Dettmann is a producer and resident DJ resident at the legendary Berlin club Berghain. He released his debut album Dettmann on the club's label Ostgut Ton, last year.

Brendan Angelides aka Eskmo returns with a new EP following up on his critically-acclaimed and debut album for Ninja, this time he’s invited his friends.

The original version of ''We Got More'' (currently tearing up YouTube with almost half a million hits for the Cyriak-directed visuals) is like the evil twin of 80s electro, an epic piece of deadpan with an acid drop of melody. First remix comes from Throwing Snow, the debut artist on the hotly tipped Ho Tep label, who offers some dubstep influenced two-step. Kilon TeK (who won Ninja Tune’s Ape School remix competition) opt for a punishing, brutal space-church headnodder. Dundee’s Loops Haunt then pulls the whole thing to pieces and turns it into a huge fight in a hall of mirrors.

''Moving Glowstream'' is reconfigured by Eskmo ally Amon Tobin. Amon brings some of the aesthetic breakthroughs of his forthcoming ''ISAM'' album to bear on the tune’s structures. Labelmate Slugabed gives the tune the melodic presence of a manga soundtrack. Newcomer Savile turns it into a sparse, dubbed out house number. All of them somehow keep some of Eskmo’s own unique character.

Despite the best efforts of us Brits, hip hop has predominantly been a US thing. That doesn't mean to say we haven't had our fair share of terrific MCs: Roots Manuva, Jehst and Skinnyman have been representing for years now, and Dizzee and Wiley introduced audiences to grime, but the scene has threatened to lapse into stagnation. But just when that seemed likely, along come new talents to refresh the domestic rap game: first Ghostpoet, and now his friend and cohort Dels. The most successful British MCs stay true to what they do and know, and Dels is in this mould. There’s no mention of sipping Cristal, only of hangovers; no objectification of women, just heartbreak; no boasting about cars and cribs, just fears of finding (or not finding, rather) the right path in life.
